I moved to Sunny Southern California about 22 years ago from New York so I am familiar with long cold winters, brrrrrrrrr.... don't envy you those, but you have beautiful terrain up there (and great skiing).

You are correct, the market is pretty competitive here. I think that the Realtors who are making it here are those who have established exemplary reputations as ethical and either have an established client base or a source for new business to flow in such as a great internet presence. Combine the both and you are in it for the duration.

Tips for Canadians, lol, yeah, move to Southern California hahahaha...

Ooh, these look beautiful! As a Vancouver realtor, I should confess of how envious I'll be of you during the winter. I love warm seas and everything else with it.

Nonetheless, California rings pretty competitive with me. How do you hold your ground in the local market? Any tips for us Canadians?

Mary, No garage would severely decrease the amount of showings and potential buyers. I imagine that seller wasn't too happy.

Hi Laurie,

We see MLS blunders all the time, both factual and with the comments (in terms of taste). Recently I sold a home in which the listing agent clicked the button for "no carport or garage". There was an oversized one-car garage. We got the home for less than it was worth (it actually appraised for $10,000 more); had the agent inputted the info correctly, it might have gotten multiple offers. I have seen that kind of thing many times.
