Long Beach California Retirement Communities

Long Beach California Retirement CommunitiesDid you know that the City of Long Beach does not have any Retirement Communities for active seniors?  Seal Beach,Huntington Beach and Manhattan Beach are all close by and have many, like Leisureworld

What is a Long Beach Baby Boomer supposed to do?  Leave Long Beach?  Why?  Many of our senior citizens have spent most or all of their lives in their Long Beach homes, contributing to our communities in Long Beach.  Why should they spend their golden years in a strange place?  Why have we not accomodated them?

What is wrong with Long Beach?  We are re-developing Downtown Long Beach like crazy, Section 8 and low income housing are a priority for the city, why are our active seniors and the baby boomers housing needs being ignored here?

Anybody from the City of Long Beach can chime in here, have your say in the comments.  Better yet, contact your local politician's and ask them Wazzzzzzzup with that?
